Currently, we have a casual Care Aide position available to serve our Hallmark on the Park community.

Must Haves

Resident Care Aide Certification from a recognized postsecondary institution
Current registration in good standing with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry.
Current Food Safe Certificate
A Valid First aid certificate
A minimum of one year experience providing care in a residential environment is preferred.

About The Role

Foster positive relationships with residents, team members, families and partners.
Implement the Wellness Model of Care
Promote active living, continuity of care, and normalization for residents.
Assist with daily living activities, mealtimes, laundry and transportation.
Respect residents' living spaces.
Contribute to resident care plans and follow care plans.
Attend meetings and stay informed about changes.
Maintain confidentiality and show respect for resident's dignity and individuality.
Welcome new residents and participate in educational sessions.
Maintain resident charting and complete incident reports.

Report relevant resident information to nurses promptly.
Take responsibility for personal and professional development
Promote a culture of health and safety.
Demonstrate safe working practices and encourage team members to do the same.
Identify and address hazards, make safety suggestions, and follow infection control policies rigorously, including regular hand washing.
