Falesca Importing is hiring Falesca Importing is a family-run business that has been serving the Lower Mainland and beyond for 50+ years.
Our expertise is in importing Italian specialty foods and distributing to stores and restaurants all around Western Canada. We are looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant to add to our team. The position is 20-28 hours per week depending on availability. We are open Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm and are flexible when those hours can be worked.- Perform bookkeeping functions (including but not limited to preparing payments, posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations)
- Follow up on accounts receivable outstanding amounts.
- Organize accounts payable reports.
- Prepare government reports and submissions.
- Respond to questions and requests for information.
Qualifications:
- Certificate in accounting.
- General understanding of computerized accounting systems.
- Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- Great communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- $21-$24/hr depending on experience
