As a leader in innovative engineering and design services for sustainable living systems, we are excited to continue to expand company services within our Climate Policy & Planning group.
Introba's Climate Policy & Planning team works with local governments, states, federal agencies, educational and other public-serving institutions, as well as portfolio holders of various kinds to help set and achieve low-carbon resilience goals in the built environment.
We work with ambitious clients throughout the world who need our expertise in charting a path to zero emissions, drawing on a combination of our team's technical, engagement, and policy development skillsets.

The Associate forms a valuable part of the team and is responsible for providing leadership, technical support, and management resources essential for the successful completion of a wide range of strategic policy and planning projects including but not limited to:
- Strategic climate change, decarbonization, and sustainability planning for cities, regions, provinces and portfolios
- Building decarbonization plans and strategies
- Research and report writing
- Stakeholder workshop & public process design and implementation
The Associate will be expected to take on various dimensions of business development, project management, team leadership, and client interfacing via the delivery of multiple projects.
- Marketing_
- Conduct active business development in policy and planning consulting services.
- Represent Integral Group at meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders as required.
- Represent the company at related association meetings with city, regional, provincial and federal officials, as needed.
- People_
- Lead, coach and supervise staff with lower levels of responsibility and lesser experience.
- Maintain and encourage excellent communication, organizational, project management and presentation abilities.
- Be responsible, accountable, dependable and committed to excellence on all levels.
- Meet regularly with all team members to ensure issues are identified and action plans are in place.
- Keep track of team vacation time and schedules.
- Provide input to Human Resources on all team employment issues.
- Recommend training requirements to Human Resources.
- Financial_
- Effect and implement programs to improve the quality of our service, products and systems to meet clients' requirements and expectations, and to minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position.
- Identify and pursue projects and alternative funding sources (outside of standard RFP processes).
- Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability as established by the team workload requirements.
- Ensure the Deltek financial system is updated with project plans on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Excellent understanding of policies, practices, research, and trends relevant to the lowcarbon built environment.
- High proficiency in the sources of, and strategies for, reducing energy and emissions at building, portfolio, campus, and/or broader scales.
- Holistic understanding of global sustainable issues, as well as current leaders and best practices in netzero energy/emissions and sustainable community planning.
- Strong knowledge of lowcarbon, resilient building practice, legislation, technologies, funding opportunities, etc.
- Good knowledge of lowcarbon land use and transportation issues and solutions considered an asset.
- Effective leadership skills and team management abilities.
- University degree in Planning, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Resource Management, Engineering or Business Administration, or similar qualifications combined with relevant experience.
- Minimum 7 years of industryspecific experience.
- Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
- Active listening, communication and coaching skills.
- Project management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
