About the role


The Supply Chain Team Leader, Department Processes oversees supply chain activities for all relevant projects and assists with sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.

Furthermore, they will manage projects concerning continuous improvement and cost reduction.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Oversee and assist with all functions of their staff to support business needs and career development.
  • Maintain a constant relationship with other departments within the organization as well as other supply chain teams to ensure all departmental needs are being met.
  • Support product transfer activities from R&D into manufacturing through participation and resource deployment.
  • Champion initiatives early in new product introduction process to ensure excellence in meeting production development timelines.
  • Develop and support resource plans to meet organizational goals.
  • Take a lead role in complex negotiations and review supplier contracts where applicable. May liaise between suppliers, legal and relevant business stakeholders to ensure contracts are executed with acceptable terms for the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects. Create project plans and manage projects through implementation.
  • Responsible for planning, implementation, and effectiveness of significant supply chain improvement projects.
  • Performs sourcing activities as needed by the business including finding secondary suppliers for risk mitigation or alternative suppliers for cost reduction.
  • Perform risk analysis and recommend/lead supply chain mitigation activities.
  • People leadership responsibilities include:
  • Motivate and inspire a team to a high level of engagement.
  • Encourage, recognize, and acknowledge employees who consistently deliver excellence.
  • Monitor and manage performance by setting and regularly reviewing individual goals.
  • Conduct reviews of staff to provide positive and constructive feedback.
  • Identify learning and development needs.
  • Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field
  • 5+ years of related supply chain process improvement experience
  • 1+ year(s) of direct people management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office including Advanced MS Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Direct experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of methods and processes for logistics and inventory management
  • Experience in a highly regulated field (i.e., pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and good planning skills
