- Training of QCs, Attributes, and Line Graders in Bulk, Canning, and Packaging as required for product and operational testing, as well as Pre-Op inspections.
- Ensure that shift Quality and Production personnel are fully aware of product specifications for the products being produced on shift.
- Review information from the Agricultural team for incoming loads of crops based on the preharvesting information made available by the Agricultural teams.
- Preliminary review of Quality records during the shift to identify quality and operational problems in real time based on specifications and procedures.
- Product chews in Bulk on shift to verify maturity evaluation by shift QCs. Organization of product chew samples for next day reviews by the Management Team.
- Ensure that all procedural recheck testing required as a result of product being out of specification is performed according to established procedures at the required frequency and time interval.
- Ensure that any quality concerns are immediately communicated to the Production Teams and facilitate corrective actions with the Production Teams quickly.
- Ensure that required Library samples are being maintained by the shift Teams.
- Troubleshooting with the Line Operators, Mechanics and Supervisors.
- May occasionally be required to perform QC duties or Attribute duties as required.
- Data input of Quality results into computerized programs as needed.
- Quality activities such as glass audits, lighting audits, data entry etc. during periods when production lines are not operating.
- Follow directions from the shift Supervisors.
- Ability to work together with multiple teams and drive action to troubleshoot and correct quality related concerns.
- Detail oriented in training and monitoring quality test procedures and results in multiple departments.
- Good working understanding of the procedures for required quality testing in Bulk, Packaging, and Canning operations.
- Frequent movement within shift to warm and cold environments.
- Good knowledge of MXP for Quality information.
- Good computer skills. Microsoft Excel, Word, MXP, and Bluebee would be an asset.
- Shift work required.
- This role offers an hourly wage of $21.04.
