Based out of our Ariva Mississauga location, we have a full-time career opportunity available within the Sales department.


Sales Representative, Mississauga:


Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within a geographic territory by effectively selling products within all segments of our business - paper products, packaging and janitorial supplies, digital media solutions and graphic solutions supplies through the utilization of sales and product presentations, executing sales and marketing initiatives, customer business reviews and market share development.


Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in their assigned territory to generate new and existing business;
  • Achieves or exceeds sales and profit targets using professional selling skills while adhering to Domtar's core values caring, agile and innovative;
  • Grow existing territory by opening new and/or developing dormant accounts;
  • Develop and manage an action plan for existing and potential customers highlighting their profile, any valueadded opportunities, monitor results and make changes as needed;
  • Prepare and submit activity and results reports such as weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analysis;
  • Prepare written reports on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services for review by management;
  • Analyze current product offerings and valueadded products potential for existing and prospective customers within their territory and determine the value to the organization.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management;
  • Coordinate sales effort with customer service, marketing, sales management, warehouse, logistics and the credit department;
  • Work closely with the Customer Care group to ensure they are well informed with regards to customer profiles, ongoing needs and product offerings to ensure a strong level of support and maintenance of our ongoing business;
  • Help manage days sales outstanding (DSO) within their territory;
  • Control travel and entertainment expenses.

The Successful Incumbent will have:
  • University education or equivalent;
  • Between 35 years' experience in Sales ;
  • The ability to effectively communicate, resolve conflicts, and to manage time
  • Teamwork, customer oriented and problem solving skills
  • Professionalism, strong influence, leadership, change management skills and business acumen;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.
