The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis.
The Infinity Women Secretariat (IWS) is a proud affiliate of the MMF whose main purpose is to promote, empower and enhance the social, culture and economic well-being of Red River Métis Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQ+ Individuals.
one full-time Project Development Officer
position located at 150 Henry Ave in Winnipeg, MB**.
Reporting to the IWS Director, the Project Development Officer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating a number of IWS projects.
The Project Development Officer will ensure that established goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, budgetary guidelines, work plans, timelines, and activities.
May be required to work some evenings and weekends._ Job Duties/Competencies:
_
- Assist in the maintenance of the project matrix, calendar and agenda for all IWS projects;
- Assist in the development of IWS strategies, tools, frameworks, models, etc.;
- Research current trends and new options as they relate to IWS projects and the needs of our members;
- Develop proposals to request project funding and prepare supporting documentation for submission;
- Explore new funding opportunities for IWS projects, prepare funding proposals and grants as required, and complete required reporting activities in a timely manner;
- Assist in planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating IWS programs and community engagement initiatives, facilitating project programming as needed;
- Provide written reports and regular status updates for project activities, including such items as statistics on services and programs, budgets and financial status, departmental goals, and objectives.
_ Skills and Qualifications:
_
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or relevant field;
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Project/Program development, research and evaluation, management, or relevant role;
- Proficient in
Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, writing and time management skills;
- Experience with community engagement and working with Indigenous communities would be an asset;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
