Who we're looking for
Toyota's Paint PE Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi Technician.


The primary responsibility of this role is to participate in and perform Digital Engineering studies, commissioning, teaching, quality adjustment of all paint robotic processes (Sealer, UBC, LASD, Primer, Topcoat and Plastics) at various U.S., Canada and Mexico NAMCs / Vendors.


Reporting to the Paint Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Seibi Group's objective to plan, implement and achieve high quality, robust robot processes in the paint shop.


What you'll be doing

  • Program paint shop robots
  • Adjust quality for paint processes
  • Perform DE studies in Carrot
  • Create/Adjust DE programs for download in the paint shop
  • Lead, plan, coordinate and communicate with the NAMC and TMNA PE

What you bring

  • Toyota paint experience as a Team Member or Contractor working directly for Toyota (1 years required)
  • Kawasaki robot programming experience including the ability to adjust robot parameters to achieve process quality for the respective area
  • Seibi experience, as a Seibi Member or exposure and interaction with Seibi Team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate or above)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Point (Intermediate or above)
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and shutdown periods
  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times, including international travel to U.S., Mexico and Japan

Added bonus if you have

  • Technical degree in Engineering or Robotics
  • PLC programming experience
  • Carrot 3 or other Offline Simulation software experience including studies and downloadable programs
  • Able to use and interpret Elcometer, Wavescan, and Xrite
