Receptionist Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in creating a positive first impression of our firm and ensuring the smooth functioning of our front office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Manage the meeting rooms and kitchen area to ensure it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and packages, including couriers.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
- Handle client inquiries and direct them to the appropriate legal professionals.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks to support the office's day-to-day operations.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education is an asset.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with legal terminology is an asset but not required.
- Respect for client confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Ability to learn quickly.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
