    The opportunity

    This posting is for a full-time term position, starting as soon as possible and ending on June 27, 2025, and to create an eligibility list for future anticipatory permanent or term positions. Temporary Assignments will be equally considered with your supervisor's prior approval.

    Reporting to the Director - Finance and Risk Management, the Manager, Finance is responsible and accountable for managing the financial accounting services of YHC including reporting to external stakeholders and liaising with external auditors on annual financial statement audits. The position will provide leadership, direction and expertise in financial reporting and budgeting.

    Essential Qualifications

  • Recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA - CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting and working with CMHC agreements within a finance capacity
  • Experience with audit preparation in a government setting
  • Experience with accounting for concessionary loans, transfer payment agreements and complex transactions
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience leading, managing and coaching a team
  • Significant experience in financial management, reporting, auditing and budgeting
  • Demonstrated ability utilizing Caseware software is an asset
  • Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.
