Catholic Social Services is looking for a Full-time Team Leader (40 hours/week) in EDMONTON to join their Lago Lindo team.
This position offers a weekly schedule of: Monday to Friday.
Job Summary:
- Challenge your skills as a Team Leader, coaching and mentoring a team of dedicated staff providing support to adults facing complex challenges.
- Lead by example in a residential setting, delivering excellent resident-focused service to meet physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including scheduling, supervision, and day-to-day operations.
- Embrace the organization's unique philosophy and maintain positive outcomes for marginalized individuals.
- Understand and embody the mission of Catholic Social Services with humility, compassion, and respect.
Job Duties:
- Provide oversight to ensure staff meet residents' needs.
- Direct and supervise staff, including scheduling, performance appraisals, mentoring, and training.
- Participate in recruitment and orientation.
- Monitor and coordinate Reviews for residents.
- Support the team in emergency situations outside of work hours.
- Assist in building and equipment maintenance.
- Report incidents promptly.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain the home's budget.
- Represent the home on committees.
- Manage financial responsibilities for residents.
- Communicate with families, physicians, and support networks.
- Support volunteers and attend training programs.
- Ensure Accreditation Standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Human Services; equivalent experience considered.
- 3 years working with individuals with disabilities.
- Completion of Medication Administration Course.
- Supervisory experience an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
- Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
- Flexibility and openness to change.
- Experience supervising teams.
- Strong computer skills.
- Valid Driver's Abstract with less than 6 demerit points.
- Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
What We Offer:
- Salary range: $54,455.04 to $61,282.8 based on qualifications and experience.
