We are seeking a Commercial Glazing Fabricator (Aluminum Fabricator) to join the Durabuilt Windows & Doors team. The successful individual will accurately fabricate hollow metal products to specifications from a variety of sources.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Fabricate aluminum / metal products to specifications from fabrication tickets, shop drawings and elevation drawings, including layout, measurement, cutouts, fabrication, welding, grinding, finishing and painting
  • Accurately read tape measures, safely cut and weld (MIG Welding) aluminum, safely use power tools (saw, grinder, sander, etc.) and hand tools
  • Maintain fabrication and safety equipment
  • Further develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques and remain current with product requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Other projects and duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have MIG welding experience; preferably with steel doors and frames (Aluminum doors / windows & frames)
  • Must be able to accurately read tape measures
  • Must have tool experience (MIG welder, saws, grinder, power tools, etc.)
  • Must be capable of lifting 100 pounds
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to work in a team and standalone environment
  • Able to work in a fastmoving environment
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously with interruptions
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Must have reliable transportation and be on time to work each day
