    Birks offers an exciting opportunity as a temporary Gemologist for 4 months.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Examine and identify gemstones using microscopes and specialized equipment
    • Determine stone quality through color clarity cut carat weight analysis
    • Create detailed reports outlining each stone's characteristics appraisal results

      Candidate Requirements

      • Gemology degree or certification from institutions like GIA or Gem-A required
      • Proficiency with advanced gemological tools essential Strong analytical skills attention detail excellent communication abilities essential independence collaborative work environment Job requirements include proficiency English French both languages preferred
