SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team.

The Analyst, Business Application Support provides research, analysis and reporting support to end users while assisting in resolving issues and requests while ensuring policies, procedures and practices are adhered to.

This role assists in developing processes and system enhancements to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of information management.

Position Details- Union - This position is permanent full time.

  • Core Responsibilities


  • User Support

  • Provide 1st tier business support to endusers addressing inquiries and issues.
  • Analyze, generate and test reports and enduser documentation ensuring information accuracy and timely delivery of requests.
  • Assist in developing training material and provide training and ongoing system support to operational endusers to optimize utilization of the system.
  • Provide general knowledge transfer and system training where required.
  • Solutions Support
  • Liaise with endusers in order to understand and effectively assess business needs and requirements.
  • Maintain an issues log for defect tracking and testing for remediation of issues.
Assist with the development of test plans. Test system scenarios and duplicate issues to resolve users inquiries.
Participate in trouble shooting issues and escalate them accordingly.- Processes and Systems- Develop and maintain documents, templates and tools to support quality assurance and testing. Research, analyze, evaluate and provide input potential process improvements to gain efficiencies while ensuring best practices are followed. Investigate process improvements and provide expertise in the development of new or enhanced system requirements. Participate in meetings related to system development projects such as collection of business requirements.- Qualifications

  • Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Degree in Computer Science, Administration or Commerce.
  • Experience
  • Two (2) years support experience including any combination of enduser support, system troubleshooting, systems training, process development, systems documentation and data analysis.
  • Three (3) years experience in the operation of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database software.
  • Additional Information
  • Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
  • A Class 5 Driver's License is required.
