Our Marketing & Business Development team is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our firm in a full-time permanent position.

Our new team member may be located in any of our office locations (Halifax, Sydney, St. John's, Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John and Charlottetown).

As a Pricing Analyst you will support our internal stakeholders by providing analytical expertise to lawyers, the Marketing team and Finance teams, working collaboratively to prepare and manage pricing on contracts, proactive proposals and formal RFP responses.

What you'll do


Responsibilities:


As a Pricing Analyst you will be responsible for:
Select, gather, organize and manage client pricing agreements;
Utilise the basics of pricing/revenue to develop an approach that contributes to positive financial performance;
Calculate and negotiate rates within defined parameters; collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop creative solutions that support business priorities;
Assist lawyers in developing matter budgets for proposals;
Draft pricing proposals for pitches and RFP responses (proactive and formal) that effectively address client-specific business objectives and cost pressures;
Track and analyze the correlation between pricing and winning work in competitive bid situations;
Point of liaison with the billing and compliance teams in respect of ongoing pricing reviews (existing clients, contracts and RFP's etc.) and
Support the business development team with integrating profitably measures and models into broader business development strategies.
What you'll need


Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent (preferably with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, Accountancy and related disciplines);
1-3 years of related experience in a similar role, preferrable in a law firm;
Strong organization/administrative skills and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including strong knowledge of Excel and its financial functions;
Ability to develop and coordinate the preparation of various reports with differing cadence;
Ability to articulate clearly to get complex ideas across simply, both spoken and written;
1-2 years of pricing experience is an asset;
Fluency in French (written and spoken) considered a very strong asset; and
Be inquisitive, intellectually curios and a lateral thinker.
