Graduate Research Assistant for a Study on Breast Cancer among Muslim Women Refugees:
This position is within the College of Nursing, where researchers are working hard to create equitable and sustainable solutions to improve health experiences and outcomes for individuals, families, and communities provincially, nationally, and internationally.
Your general location of work will be in research assistant office space in the Health Sciences building at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon campus and you will report to Dr.
Primary Purpose:
In the appointment of Research Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be to support the development of a Tri-Council grant with the NPA and the multidisciplinary research team.
Required Number of Hours: 6 hours per week x 30 weeks
Duration of Employment:
September 1, April 12, 2024 with a possibility of extension
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
- Strong analytical and academic writing skills,
- Good listening skills and critical thinking,
- Interest and experience in mixed methods research,
- Effect time management and organizational skills,
Experience:
- Good academic standing
- Experience in doing literature reviews
- Strong quantitative research skills
- Fluent in using SPSS and library management tools
- Interest in immigrant and refugee health issues
Education:
B.Sc. degree in Nursing, Health Science-related field, or Social Sciences.
