With a vision for supporting an efficient patient experience and a consistent approach to clinical best practices, Niagara Health is preparing to implement a modern Hospital Information System (HIS) in 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading on the infrastructure needs for the project
Build and oversee team needed to meet infrastructure and technology demands of the project
Overseeing and ensuring delivery of all aspects of infrastructure acquisition, deployment, configuration, maintenance and documentation.
Design and execute short plus long term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs.
Manage and establish priorities for maintenance, design, development and analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of LANs, WANs, internet, security and wireless implementations.
Conduct research and recommend changes in services, products, protocols and standards to support development efforts and infrastructure procurement.
Report and prepare strategies to maintain server infrastructure.
Ensure apt security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained.
Ensure to practice IT asset management inclusive of component inventory maintenance and associated documentation.
Negotiate with outsourcers, vendors and contractors for infrastructurespecific products and services secure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & TRAINING

University Degree or College diploma in Computer Sciences or related discipline preferred
Certifications in ITIL

EXPERIENCE

Must clearly demonstrate 5+ years experience in Windows Server 2016 and up
10+ years data center management preferred
Experience of working with VMware VCP, Citrix (CCA-V, CCP-V)
Must demonstrate experience of active directory management
Work experience of 10+ years in in leadership role pertaining infrastructure preferred
Experience in health care setting is preferred
Project management experience preferred
Cloud experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Technical and conceptual mastery on premise and cloud virtualization solutions
Good handle of networking concepts and cyber security
