Position Summary

Location:
Burnaby, BC


Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift


Reporting to:
Production Manager


Essential Functions

  • Setting up PEM and Press Brake machines and looking up part programs to perform assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate with Team Lead on workscheduled tasks to ensure IBC quality standards and ontime completion of finished goods.
  • Perform maintenance on the machine accordingly on set PM time.
  • Perform measurement and quality checks on manufactured parts.
  • Reporthardware inventory level to the Team Leader for replenishment orders.
  • Ensures work areas are well arranged and maintained for a safe working environment.
  • Ensures documents, activities and machine setup measurements with parts are up to date.
  • Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by Team Lead.
  • Ensures compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes and operations, making suggestions for improvement where appropriate to increase productivity and minimize production costs.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
  • Ability to prioritize job tasks and adapt to change.
  • At least two years of experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand during work hours.
