    Community Programs Manager

    Our client is searching for a Community Programs Manager to join their team. This role will serve as a liaison to municipal and regional partners to ensure collaboration and effective community program implementation. This role reports directly to the Community Services Director.

    Your success will be defined by your ability to:
    • Manage and implement community programs including Recreation, Culture, Family and Community Support Services and Community Development
    • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of community development, community support and recreation staff
    • Operation community programs, recreation facilities and services
    Your strengths include:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Social Work or a related discipline is required
    • Community programming and operations experience would be considered an asset
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in Community Development work with progressive responsibilities including supporting FCSS services and Recreation Facility management and Culture services
    • 2+ years of progressive management experience directly supervising staff of various experience levels and projects
    • Recreation facility management, specifically aquatics would be an asset
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be highly proficient in relationship building
    • Strong understanding of social programming in a municipal environment and possess the culture competency to work effectively and respectfully with a variety of cultures and communities
    • Advanced technology and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
