Description
Support homes required for adults with developmental disabilities.

The right home would provide a positive atmosphere, a willingness to include the individual in your everyday life.

Supporting the individual to develop their personal identity and self expression, acceptance of self and encourage the individual to enhance their self determination skills.

Supporting the individual with daily skills which may include but is not limited to, day to day activities, personal care, and hygiene, promoting health and safety, cooking, recreation, spiritual, socialization, community awareness and access,

Be organized and detailed orientated with a willingness to accept guidance and training.

Support home providers receive payment monthly; this includes room & board and wages for being a support home.

They receive extensive training on the requirements and individual they will be supporting, Open communication and Support from the Team Leader along with a monthly in person Home Visit.


Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
$2,500.00-$4,247.45 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wetaskiwin, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- supportive care: 1 year (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (preferred)
