Description
University of Victoria Student Wellness is seeking a FTE continuing physician to join our growing healthcare team. UVic Student Wellness offers collaborative and multidisciplinary care to post secondary students. UVic SW operates a hybrid model of same day and regular appointments of both in-person and virtual care. The UVic SW team includes administrative staff, clinical counselors, physicians, psychologists, registered nurses, and spiritual care providers. Students seek support primarily in the areas of mental health, sexual health and public health.

Average daily patient volume: 16
EMR: Accuro (QHR)
On-call obligations required
12 Clinical rooms, 13 MOAs, 6 RNs, 1 Clinical AD, 1 Administrative Manager
Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30 – 4:30pm (8 hours per day)
Closed on weekends, stat holidays, and during the Winter closure (Dec 25 – Jan 2)
Physicians receive a 30 min paid lunch plus 2x 15 minute breaks.
(Dedicated scheduled time for indirect tasks) $.10 x 6% vacation = $.07 per hour. Labs checked by Doctor of the day on your off days.
(Yearly salary: $XXXXX – will be pro-rated based on FTE)
