Safety Express Ltd, an Aramsco Company has been serving its clients for over 35 years in the Abatement, Restoration, Professional Cleaning and Surface Preparation market.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as a strong background in customer service and sales to join our team, working directly with an assigned Inside Sales Representative to create an exceptional customer experience and maximize customer revenue.


Job Objective


This individual will work collaboratively with sales and operations support teams for the team's achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term company goals.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate a "fire in the belly" attitude, the initiative to take the time to learn product and service offering, and the desire to take advantage of training opportunities provided by the company.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge in all areas of the business including abatement, restoration, professional cleaning and surface preparation
  • Work with Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to develop annual, monthly and weekly plan. Collaboratively achieve plan, adapting weekly or monthly plan as market conditions change to ensure annual targets are met
  • In collaboration with OSR, develop strategies, action plans and proposals to engage new and existing customers in assigned markets, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profit, monitor and follow up on any changes to customer buying patterns
  • Responsible for servicing orders for existing and new customers, including determining customer needs, assisting with product selection, upselling, advising of monthly promotions, order entry and fulfillment and locating product from alternative sources to achieve the sale
  • Proactively outbound call new and existing customers to develop and provide a valueadded business relationship that will drive sales and margin growth, including determining customer needs, upselling every opportunity etc.
  • Daily review of and maintenance of CRM tool, which needs to include updated quality notes for each customer interaction
  • Review open orders and back orders daily, following up with OSR and team members as appropriate
  • Communicative proactively, regularly, and effectively with OSR to ensure customer needs are known and met
  • Participate as a team member in all areas of the operation, sharing best practices and any branch specific successes with other branches and other reps
  • Be available 24/7 for your customers and participate in the afterhours customer support plan/schedule and open/close responsibilities with all branch team members
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities to vendor management team for investigation
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and company code of ethic
  • Align with Regional Sales Manager on personal development plan and execution
  • Support of the Halifax branch may be required

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Previous industry and product knowledge in all/any areas of the business, abatement, restoration, professional cleaning, surface preparation etc. is an asset, but at a minimum must show proactive ability to learn the various industries we serve and expand product knowledge to keep up with industry trends
  • Experienced with administrative sales functions (order entry, quoting, timely followup etc.)
  • Experience working cooperatively with sales and operation teams
  • A selfstarter that is extremely motivated
  • Physical requirements include: Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting 50 pounds, visual acuity to read bar code labels and location labels
  • Proficient with excel, word and power point
  • Team player, proactive communicator

  • Experience in restoration, abatement, professional cleaning, surface prep and construction
  • Experience with Tecsys-Streamline, ERP system
  • Experience with Salesi, CRM tool
  • Limited amount of travel will be required
