Position Summary:

Western Mechanical is seeking a full-time Tool Crib Assistant to support the Stores Manager at our company in Barrie, Ontario.

The Stores Department is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of equipment, tools, and PPE.

The department receives varying requests from project managers and supervisors, and are required to fulfil the requests with the appropriate assets within the required timeline.

Work will vary from one day to another.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading construction materials.
Ensure storage areas are clean and organized at all times.
Maintaining effective stock levels.
Ordering of stock from a variety of suppliers.
Checking deliveries to ensure stock is not damaged and is accounted for.
Minor hand tool repairs.
Must complete all mandatory training as required and comply with all Health and Safety procedures as outlined in company policies.

License:

Ontario G Class Drivers License (required)
Reliable Transportation (required)
Forklift Certificate or Past Experience Operating (required)

Term, Hours of Work and Compensation:

Benefits, GRSP, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available after 3-month probationary period.
Hours of work are Monday
Thursday 8:00am to 5:30pm, Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
This is a fulltime position.
The role is entitled to vacation pay and paid statutory holidays.
