Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Voluntary Products, the Manager, Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and tactics to meet the business objectives of the iA Special Markets division, with emphasis on marketing of voluntary group insurance products through a variety of channels, including direct response and digital marketing.


  • Manages a team of six, including Marketing Advisors, Technicians, and Administrators
  • Manages a schedule of over 30 campaigns per year, ensuring quality and timeliness of execution within budget and personnel resources
  • Creates and executes communication and rollout plans for product launches and enhancements
  • Measures the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (qualitative and quantitative) and makes recommendations for improvement
  • Supervises the creation of marketing and fulfillment materials (both print and digital)
  • Management of budget, including ongoing tracking of expenses
  • Consults and advises sales team to create clientcentred marketing and communications programs
  • Works in close collaboration with Sales and HQ teams, clients and key stakeholders to manage priorities supporting the strategic direction of the division
  • Keeps pulse of competitive landscape and trends
  • Additional responsibilities, duties and special projects as identified

Education, Experience and Skills:


  • A degree in marketing or communications
  • 10+ years of related experience in direct response marketing (both print and digital)
  • Knowledge of insurance industry products, marketing trends
  • Previous experience in the supervision/leadership/mentoring of staff
  • Demonstrated ability to organize self and others while handling multiple priorities
  • Superior interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work within and promote a teambased environment to reach department objectives and goals.
  • Must be adaptable, comfortable working in ambiguity and have a keen eye for prioritization
  • Selfdriven and resultsoriented, with a customer centric mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and a close attention to detail
  • Positive, cando attitude, with a continuous improvement mentality


  • Telework

  • In person 12x week required for team and leadership meetings, other adhoc in person as required.
