    Description
    Responsibilities:
    • Provides mechanical support to all departments within the facility.
    • Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance.
    • Ensure a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment.
    • Correct unsafe working conditions.
    • Troubleshoot any mechanical breakdown in the production process to ensure minimal loss in the manufacturing of our products.
    • Use SAP system for work capture, parts, sign-out parts look up, confirmation time.
    • Assist in the installation of any new equipment in the facility.
    • Work together with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes.
    • Report any concerns and/or problems to the supervisor through daily written and verbal reporting.
    • Understand the mechanics of our facility's processing and packaging equipment and maintain them.
    • Ensure equipment operating, designed, and installed to required GMP standards.
    • Proper housekeeping. Clean up after work completed.
    • Provide shift report to include parts used downtime and root cause analyses.
    • Take part as an active member of continuous improvement teams.
    • Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality.
    • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual.
    • Adhere to GMPs and Health and safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook.
    • Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed.

    Requirements:
    • Must hold a valid license- 443A, or roof of license from any province or country required.
    • If holds over 2-5 years of experience in the trade, it will be up to the discretion of the company to make exceptions required.
    • Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright preferred.
    • Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity - detail-oriented.
    • Service and performance-oriented.
    • High sense of ownership, good organizational skills, effective communicator.
    • Tenacious with great analytical skills.
