The Manager, Strategy and Integration - Retail Financial Services is responsible for overseeing the Retail Financial Services (RFS) strategy, with a focus on new product strategy.


The Manager is responsible for the RFS strategy and provides leadership and support to partners and cross functional teams for product strategy and bring to market strategy and plans.

The Manager integrates with other teams to develop product roadmaps, tied into the FS MyMoney vision and mission and establish planning and governance processes and activities.

Provides insight and recommendations to the RFS leadership team on matters of strategy and governance. Advises the RFS leadership team on matters related to alignment with corporate strategies, plans and governance.


Responsibilities:

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Strategy and Integration - Retail Financial Services.


  • Leads the management and facilitation of the RFS leadership team strategy and investment planning activities ensuring strategic FS product goals and KPIs are measured to learn and achieve product-market fit
  • Integrates the outcome into the Planning process. Ensures a fully integrated and aligned approach for all RFS teams in dealings with corporate executive committees, partner teams within the organization, investment approval and other corporate processes and governance requirements.
  • Oversees the preparation and delivery of presentations to key stakeholders on behalf of the RFS organization, promoting a cohesive view of the RFS vision, mission, plans and priorities. Advises RFS leaders and coordinates messaging to internal partners.
  • Partners with RFS leadership on the planning, development and monitoring of the RFS scorecard as a key management tool that enables high quality dialogue with the Chief Customer and Marketing Officer. Provides direction to the RFS leadership team to ensure that the scorecard integration points are clear and aligned with their team's scorecard.
  • Leads the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of management processes, tools and reporting required by the RFS to effectively manage the governance requirements.

Job Responsibilities (continued):


  • Leads the monitoring and analysis of market, corporate and RFS business performance and provides insight and recommendations to the RFS leadership team.
  • Manages or participates in special studies / analysis, risk assessments or other analyses of emerging issues and opportunities and makes recommendations from the results of the analysis.
  • Leads the integration of custom project business case requirements with Operations and other teams. Continuously seeks process improvement opportunities for the day-to-day and financial management of custom projects. Supports business and project development, oversees contract scope development for new custom projects that reflects corporate vision and objectives.
  • Identify priorities such as growth opportunities or operational weaknesses and help drive the team's strategy and improve or innovate processes.

Qualifications:


Education

  • Completed postsecondary education in management, commerce, finance, or related fields
  • A designation in one or more of the following fields: process improvement, project management, MBA, quality management is an asset

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant functional experience
  • Experience in Product Strategy and New Product Development, ideally in financial services or fintech with a focus on payments or everyday banking/chequing is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs, specifically with Excel and Power Point
  • Experience in budget and planning would be helpful
  • Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decisionmaking skills with proven abilities in problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
