Position Type:
Permanent Full-Time

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation:

Position Overview:

Facilitates the transport of goods in the most cost effective, timely manner in order to meet customer and company requirements, while considering profitability of each shipment.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepares rate quotations for customers to provide best cost and routing options for both import and export shipments.
Coordinates with overseas agents, forwarder office on the status of shipments.
Addresses products availability, ready dates, shipping problems and/or delays with the necessary parties and upsells services to existing customers based on needs & effectiveness
Updates the status of all the open orders in the system and does regular checks to ensure accuracy of data
Handles day to day customer service inquiries and problem solving through internal or external parties

Required Competencies:

Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
Independently identifies and analyses readily available facts
Some creative problem solving is required to execute assigned work
Provides input on priorities and policies directly affecting their role
Attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills
Advance computer skills, such as MS Excel and Word.
Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System), FFS (Freight Forwarding Services) will be considered an asset
Superior verbal and written communication skills
