- Experience in Roadway Lighting Design and Traffic Signal Design is muat. Preference is given to the Province of Ontario's Street Lighting and / or Traffic Signal Design experience.
- Be part of the electrical project team and attend project meetings
- Perform lighting calculations (AGI software knowledge desired), loading calculations, short circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations and Arc Flash Analysis calculations
- Ministry of Transportation, Ontario's work experience is desired
- Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signals, roadway lighting wiring diagrams, and electrical details
- Write and edit project construction specifications.
- Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, perform site observations, and punch lists
- Coordinate on-site with the electrical contractor and Perform field inspections and provide professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years of related work experience. (desired)
- Proficient in the utilization of current electrical engineering theories and practices.
- Professional Engineer registration is desired.
- Potential to perform in an engineering team, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are desired.
- Experience in MTO and other municipal agencies of Ontario is desired.
- Proficiency in the use of Lighting Design Software AGI32 is desired.
- Proficiency in doing Voltage Drop Calculations, short circuit calculations, and arc flash analysis calculations is desired.
- A strong background in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is desired.
