As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a
Quotes Clerk. This role reports to the General Manager.

The incumbent is responsible for providing customers with transportation solutions by way of quotes and general information related to rating.

Responsibilities:

Quickly identify requirements from customers and utilize knowledge and internal resources to coordinate best service available.
Create the Quotes in our inhouse system
Dealing with disputes related to outstanding customer invoices specifically as it relates to rating, weight, cube or accessorial.

Other duties related to invoicing include:
authorizing short payment of invoices when valid; assist with rating all invoices in the unrated queue that do not auto rate; ensuring linear footage is caught and rating is correct; assist in the reconciliation of carrier invoices when there are disputes related to rate or cube discrepancies

Present APPS' services professionally when dealing with customers. Answer multiple calls promptly, organizing customers' requirements.
Review load sheets and check requests
Rating unrated shipments
Meeting strict deadlines
Answering telephone
Willing to work occasional extended hours as required
Other duties as required

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

Grade 12 graduation
At least 2 years' experience working on a quotes desk
Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience in a rating / billing role desirable
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good analytical and mathematical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent problemsolving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

Hours and Location:

Monday to Friday: 06:30 15:00
Terminal Location: Delta, BC (near Boundary Bay Airport)

Remuneration:

$50,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience
