Bayshore Home Care Solutions Niagara Branch seeks an experienced HR Coordinator

In-Office Position, Monday - Friday business hours, Thorold Office Location

The Human Resources Coordinator, under the direction of the Human Recourses Manager, completes day-to-day human resources activities
at the Branch Office and collaborates in relevant National Development Centre initiatives.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule and arrange Orientation Sessions for new hires
Process onboarding documentation, including employee contracts
Maintains and updates electronic employee files to ensure up to date accuracy
Participate in the Health and Safety Program, meetings and serve as co-chair on the committee.
Handle payroll and benefits-related inquiries, assist employees to complete benefit enrollment forms
Handle external requests for reference checks and verification of employment
Process termination documents and leave of absences in accordance with applicable legislation
Maintains and updates payroll data in Peoplesoft
Assist with progressive discipline and counseling of employees via our Performance Improvement Action Plan process
Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
Monitors HR inbox to ensure all messages are addressed
Participates and at times leads HR related special projects

Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
Maintains current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws
Assist HR Manager and HR department where needed.

Job Qualification


Education
Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program


Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years Human Resources experience


Other Skills and Abilities

Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficient competency in Microsoft 365 and HRIS systems; ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning; Able to work in a fast paced, high volume HR Department.

Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Joint Health and Safety Committee Level 2 Certification.

Located in the Niagara Region
