Summary:


In support of our growth, we are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented and problem solver Planning Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products.

This role involves coordinating with various departments to develop production plans, managing inventory levels, and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.


Responsibilities:


  • Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to meet production targets and customer demand.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, workinprogress, and finished goods, implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover while minimizing stock outs and excess inventory.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess manufacturing capacity and resource availability to ensure production plans are feasible and aligned with capacity constraints.
  • Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Utilize Global Shop Solutions (GSS) to plan material procurement and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline manufacturing processes through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with procurement, production, engineering, and logistics teams to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure smooth execution of production plans.


  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality standards and address any qualityrelated issues that may arise during production.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, analyze variances, and collaborate with concerned department(s) to implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or related roles within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools/software.
  • Proficiency in GSS will be an asset
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make datadriven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire team members towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
