Birla Carbon Canada in Hamilton is looking for an Operations Analyst to join our team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Analyst is responsible for improving efficiency and processes within the Organization by collecting and analyzing data.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides recommendations to improve efficiency, processes and effectiveness across all departments to ensure optimal operational performance and output
  • Review and update current policies and procedures and develop any changes to enhance process efficiency.
  • Working with managers and employees to implement changes which includes training on new systems and processes.
  • Collecting data to prepare analytical reports that support the senior leadership team in decision making
  • Continuously improves selfproductivity, skill, morale, team spirit, selfmotivation, commitment to safety and sense of commitment through training, selfawareness and personal involvement
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:


  • Six Sigma Black Belt is required for this role
  • Post-Secondary education in Engineering or business is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience using statistical and database software
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with SAP and experience with computers including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent participation and commitment to safety and the environment
  • Excellent organization, communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Work Conditions/Schedule

  • 8hour regular day shifts; 40 hours per week: Monday Friday
  • Occasional overtime/oncall duties as required
