Children's Outpatient - Sleep Lab


The Sleep Laboratory at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital is currently seeking a Certified Polysomnography Technologist to join their team.

Our focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of children with sleep disorders.

The Sleep Medicine Program takes great pride in being pioneers in the field of sleep while providing compassionate quality care to our patients.

We are one of only three tertiary care pediatric sleep labs in the province and as such many children, including those with medical complexity, rely on the care that we provide.

We strive to provide an environment rich in experience and learning to assure that patients receive the highest level of diagnosis and care and that future technologists are developed to an exacting standard.


Rate of Pay:
$32.50 per hour - $37.42 per hour

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week

Regular Part-Time


Qualifications:


  • Post secondary education in Health Sciences
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Demonstrated expert skill in use of sleep software and protocols
  • Demonstrated skill in techniques and the use of a variety of monitoring devices and instrumentation required for sleep studies
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately score sleep studies
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing "support duties" role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communications skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead quality improvement and change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
