We are looking for a positive, energetic, self-motivated individual to work with a 11 year old child with autism in his home and in the community.
You will receive ongoing training and supervision from a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst /Board Certified Associate Behaviour Analyst and will be teaching the child language/communication skills, play skills, and self-help/independence skills (toilet training, teeth brushing) using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Responsibilities include working 1:1 with the child in his home/community, taking data and communicating with your supervisor.Qualifications:
A successful applicant MUST
- Have a current criminal record check (or be willing to complete one)
- Reliable transportation (car is preferred)
- Must have experience working with children, preferably special needs
- Able to multitask fluently
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year (longer is preferred)
North Vancouver:
_Londsale and West 2nd Street _
- Monday-Friday_
Weekends
- Flexible timing anytime between 94_
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 per week
