We are a highly vertically integrated manufacturer encompassing wood cabinet construction, paint & finishing, electronics, injection moulding, and assembly.

  • Show initiative and support the daily manufacturing activities and resolve line issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions relating to production and quality system improvements.
  • Create and maintain Company's Quality documents for Quality Engineering activities, special projects, and lead the projects.
  • Develop test/ inspection methods and lead test method validation activities.
  • Provide statistical data analysis and interpretation support for investigations, specification setting activities, and test protocols using DOEs, SPC, Gauge R & R studies, and other quality tools as needed.
  • Lead deepdive root cause analysis initiatives to identify corrective action plans using industryaccepted problemsolving methods and statistical tools (8D, 4M, 5Why) and implement robust corrective action.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement continuous improvements to lower COPQ and improve overall product quality.
  • Data analysis of past problem history and warranty data to improve new product quality & reliability as well as resolve current field complaints.
  • Ownership of Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), PFMEAs, DFMs to make them living documents.
  • Promote preventive and proactive culture (poke yoke).
  • Active involvement in the company's lean and productivity improvement activities/ projects including process mapping, flow charting, value stream mapping, value added analysis activities, balance scorecard.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal requirements.
  • Lead the root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA for product and process related concerns.
  • Ensure timely resolution of internal & external providers failures and implementation of CAPA.
  • Establish, implement and maintain the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of incoming, inprocess and outgoing quality functions.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance quality system, such as 5S, kaizen lean method, etc.
  • Prepare and take ownership of quality reports and provide update to stakeholders.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
  • Audit departments as required and follow through on nonconformities and improvements.
  • Review new parts during development and manages the approval process of FAI, EC.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline required, advanced degree preferred with 7 years quality experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a factory quality engineering role. Leadership experience desired.
  • Strong computer skills in MS
  • Word, Excel, MS-PP, MS
  • Project, and ERP software (Preferably Infor Visual & Infor Quality Management).
  • Experience with common measurement and testing tools, and equipment.
  • Develop/ write protocols, and coordinate the testing for validation activities, component qualification activities.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, 8D Corrective Action, 5 Why, Balance scorecard, Kaizen methodology etc.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 processes and documentation.
  • Promote and execute Quality best practices, tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with implementing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
