Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research.

Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.


Position Overview:


We are hiring a research assistant to help with various research tasks, which may include creating a literature review, data entry, data cleaning, and performing statistical analyses.


Duties:


  • Assist with duties related to the production of articles, publications, reports and presentations.
  • Prepare literature reviews.
  • Assist in data collection, data entry, analysis and interpretation.
Perform data/word processing, routine computations, and record keeping.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Honours level criminal justice student.
  • 3.5 minimum GPA.
  • Knowledge of SPSS, word, excel, and Zotero.
  • Experience working in community organizations.

Condition(s) of Employment:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.


The period of work will be from
March 31, August 31, 2024 and the estimated total hours of work will be
50-100 hours.
