MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list)

  • Responsible for the administration of the recruitment and selection process.
  • Prepare and post job postings and advertisements (internally and externally)
  • Prepare offer of employment letters in consultation with hiring managers
  • Provide information to job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  • Ensure proper new hire documentation is received prior to their start date
  • Ensure appropriate testing is conducted (i.e. language testing)
  • Notify applicants of results of selection process
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and collective agreements for all transactions related to the recruitment process.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of competition files as per established procedures and guidelines. Audit competition files as required.
  • Enter data on tracking sheets and HRIS system, prepare reports and documents and make recommendations as required.
  • Participate in human resources processes review and supports human resources projects as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field or combination of relevant education and experience (Essential)
  • Minimum of one (1) year' experience in a Human Resources field, preferably in a unionized environment

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Criminal Record Check (CRC) (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of the HR functions and processes (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws and legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act, Labour Relations Act the Occupational Health and Safety Act; general knowledge of corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment (Essential)
  • Pleasant manner and tactful in dealing with the public, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills (Essential)
  • Demonstrated initiative, customer service and team work skills (Essential)
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office products and good general knowledge of payroll/HR information systems (Essential)
  • Ability to work with and manipulate data (Essential)
  • Bilingualism (English/French) (preferred)

  • Participer à l'examen des processus de ressources humaines et appuyer les projets de ressources humaines au besoin.
