    INVESTMENT APPROACH:

Unlike private equity and venture capital firms, we are Entrepreneurs who Buy, Enhance and Grow Software Businesses. That's right; we don't sell businesses. We form a strategic alliance with existing management teams. We recognize the dedication and perseverance required to create a firm and place a premium on customers' and workers' well‑being over short‑term goals.

    CULTURE:

Valsoft is more than just a place to work; we're a team. We mean it when we say people are our greatest assets, so investing in them is our number one priority. We create an environment where our employees feel first‑day‑on‑the‑job excitement, day after day, creating a culture of high performers and collaboration. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a hands‑on, strategic EPM Manager to optimize and expand our Oracle EPM Cloud platform ("FCCS", "TRCS", "Planning", "EDM", "Narrative Reporting"). This individual will partner with Finance leadership and IT to improve system performance, automation, and reporting capabilities across the organization, while mentoring an EPM Administrator and driving continuous improvement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Platform Ownership & Continuous Improvement

    • Serve as the functional and technical owner of the Oracle EPM Cloud platform (currently "FCCS" and "TRCS", with additional modules such as "Planning", "EDM", and "Narrative Reporting" planned).
    • Define and execute the EPM roadmap, driving continuous improvement, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
    • Oversee configuration management, metadata, business rules, hierarchies, and security within the EPM environment.
    • Lead system optimization and enhancement initiatives to improve performance, automation, and usability.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, integrations, processes, and updates.
    • Evaluate Oracle Cloud releases and new features; plan and coordinate patching, testing, and rollouts with IT and Oracle support.

    Finance & Consolidation Enablement

    • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and close processes within "FCCS" by ensuring system readiness and performance.
    • Partner with the Consolidation team to validate results and troubleshoot system or data issues.
    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across entities and reporting structures.
    • Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards to support Finance leadership and group management reporting.
    • Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, and Accounting teams to expand EPM functionality and support enterprise‑wide reporting needs.

    Training, Knowledge Sharing & Leadership

    • Manage and mentor the Oracle EPM Administrator, prioritizing development, performance, and ownership.
    • Develop and deliver user training sessions and documentation to empower Finance teams and subsidiaries.
    • Support users during closing cycles and system upgrades, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting.
    • Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on Oracle EPM Cloud capabilities and best practices.
    • Stay current with Oracle updates, new features, and evolving EPM technologies to continuously modernize the platform.

    Cross‑Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with the ERP Manager to align EPM and ERP strategies within the broader Financial Systems roadmap.
    • Work closely with Finance leadership to translate business requirements into scalable EPM solutions.
    • Engage with external consultants and Oracle support to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery of enhancement projects.
    • Drive a culture of accountability, governance, and innovation within the Financial Systems team.

    REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (CPA, MBA, or equivalent experience is an asset).
    • 5–8 years of experience in Oracle EPM Cloud management, implementation, or enhancement.
    • Proven experience with "FCCS" and "TRCS", and familiarity with additional modules such as "Planning", "EDM", or "Narrative Reporting".
    • Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes from a systems perspective.
    • Advanced knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud configuration, including metadata, business rules, data management, and security.
    • Experience with EPM Automate, REST APIs, Groovy, and Smart View; familiarity with data integration tools is an asset.
    • Proficiency in Excel and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or Oracle Analytics), along with working knowledge of data warehouse environments (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and their integration with Oracle EPM.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience mentoring or managing technical staff.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging Finance and IT functions.

Ready to join a collaborative and innovative team where you can make an immediate impact?
