King's Printer for BC is part of the King's Printer Association of Canada, formed in 1952 and is comprised of representatives from the federal, provincial, and territorial jurisdictions of Canada.


The skilled King's Printer team offers an affordable range of services to ministries, public sector organizations, and publicly funded agencies through four specialized departments: Crown Publications, Digital Publishing, Print Brokerage, and Protocol and Recognition.

Our team includes specialized client service representatives; protocol and recognition specialists, project management and print management professionals; highly qualified publishing, web development and information technology experts.


The Business Support Officer provides customer service through administrative, financial and help-desk support functions associated with the purchase of publications, legislation and online subscription services; assists with preparation and distribution of the BC Gazette Part I and II and the distribution of tender documents.


Job Requirements:


  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year recent (within the last five (5) years) administrative experience in a professional office environment (e.g. client support/clerical/financial experience).
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year direct customer service experience in a high volume environment.
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience using corporate systems and databases (i.e. JIRA, FTP sites).
  • Experience using computerized software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Direct customer service experience in a Help Desk environment.
  • Experience using the SAP software suite

About this Position:

Two (2) positions available.

  • An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies across the Ministry of Citizens' Services.
  • This position can be based out of the location listed above.
  • Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
