Position Overview
As a member of the Maintenance Team, the Heavy Equipment Technician will report to the Team Leader, Maintenance and work a two-week (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotation at the Ekati mine site.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices to ensure the safety and environmental standards are followed.
- Demonstrate and promote an inclusive harmonious work environment
- Complete Initial field inspections, preventive maintenance, field repairs, component changes, and all other standard maintenance activities required to maintain site equipment
- Execute the site's contamination control strategy including fluid monitoring, formal prefill protocols and onsite filtration device and procedures
- Always protect the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your coworkers. Follow all Company specific safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Work with other trades in a flexible team environment to achieve bestinclass efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in and perform continuous improvement, as required.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, displaying strong communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information
Arctic provides travel to and from the Ekati mine site out of Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern fly points.
