    ABOUT THE TEAM

    We're seeking an Advisor, Business and Technology Governance, who will be reporting to the Director, Business and Technology Governance and who will be responsible for supporting project governance for the Technology, Data and Operations (TDO) including the maintenance of project management systems and project management framework controls, project monitoring financial controls, budget management, financial reporting and benefits measurement.

    ABOUT YOUR ROLE

    As an Advisor, Business and Technology Governance, you'll:

  • Provide guidance to TDO stakeholders on matters related to technology project governance, the respect of the Solution Delivery Lifecyle (SDLC), financial controls and monitoring (actuals, budgets, and forecasts).
  • Coach and guide the Project Control team to ensure they meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines, they follow project monitoring best practices and respect project monitoring and reporting controls related to financials and project health status.
  • Ensure the Project Control team properly supports Project Managers and TDO managers with their reporting and information needs.
  • Perform various analysis and reporting tasks such as project forecasting, burn rate and budget consumption monitoring, as well as reporting financials and other metrics regularly to upper TDO management.
  • Support teams in technology benefits measurement practices and ensure benefits are measured regularly and reported to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
  • Manage and maintain core project management system modules and processes by performing month end closures in the system, data quality validations, updates and ad hoc testing (modules include staffing, timesheets, project and financial monitoring).
  • Review and participate in the approval of business cases, monthly initiative reviews, change requests, procurement requests and ensure all requests respect project governance and financial controls.
  • Ensure year over year cost drivers are clear and reported on. Support Director in cascading financial information to each team in TDO.
  • Participate in initiative post-mortem.
  • Participate in and ideate continuous improvement activities to increase efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Other administrative and analytical tasks when needed.

    • WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce or Financial Management, or an equivalent program.
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in technology project management and/or financial monitoring, controls, and reporting.
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis, reporting and documentation.
  • Works with a strong sense of urgency and is used to meeting multiple deadlines per month.
  • Ability to connect and manage links among multiple lines of work and anticipate relevant impacts and outcomes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Bilingualism English and French *Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa
