This person will be focused, creative, positive and energetic.


THE DAY TO DAY
No two days will look the same; however, your responsibilities will include:

  • Must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, mornings, as well as weekends and holidays based on the business needs
  • Flexibility a requirement.
  • To consistently create a positive overall guest experience by preparing and producing food that meets quality, presentation, portion and safety standards with the standardized recipes and daily function requirements
  • Responsible for preparing and producing food items, a la carte, buffets, banquets, etc. to specified requirement set by the Hotel
  • Cooks and seasons assigned food and therapeutic diet items
  • Cooperates and delegates work properly and in fair manner, assisting and advising other team members of established standards and procedures
  • Interprets guest needs and provides exceptional consistent service
  • Adheres to the standard order timelines expected
  • Reorganizes refrigerators, restocks items up to par, reorganizes section for next meal period
  • Operates all kitchen equipment as needed for food preparation while keeping safety in mind at all times
  • Maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste. Minimizes wastage and optimizes leftovers
  • Receives and stores supplies as required.
  • Adheres to the expectations of SHOUT, Delta Standards and the White Coat Program
  • Adheres to all standard operating procedures (SOPs/BOPs) and policies
  • Ensures that all kitchen processes are adhered to including all logs and checklist duties
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the kitchen, freezers, storage areas and equipment
  • Knows and adheres to all health and safety, accident prevention and emergency procedures for all the areas of the restaurant and hotel

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, honest, reliable and confidential
  • Offer courteous and sincere hospitality at all times and "deliver great guest experiences _._
  • High School Diploma required, certified postsecondary education in the restaurant, hospitality field is preferred
  • Food Safe certification; extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • 2 3 years' experience in a high volume restaurant, banquets or convention center space
