Description
The Construction Estimator at Pro-Drywall plays a pivotal role in our pre-construction phase, contributing to the success of our projects through accurate cost estimations.
This role demands a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of construction processes and a keen eye for detail. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure competitive yet profitable project bids.Key Responsibilities:
Project Assessment:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Conduct onsite visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information.
Collaboration:
- Engage with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to collect relevant project details.
- Work closely with the project management team to provide ongoing support during the construction phase.
Cost Estimation:
- Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs to determine accurate project estimates.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and material costs.
- Seek opportunities for process improvement within the estimating function.
Estimate Preparation:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for projects.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Client Proposals:
- Prepare detailed proposals that include narratives, schedules, and summaries to present to clients.
- Address client queries and adjust estimates and proposals based on feedback.
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather detailed information required for accurate estimates.
- Attend site visits and project meetings to ensure accurate project assessment and ongoing monitoring.
Market Analysis:
- Keep updated with the latest market trends in materials costs, labor, and construction techniques.
- Utilize historical data from past projects to influence and improve the accuracy of estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in commercial, and residential
- Proficiency in estimating software and estimating.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

$75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
