Plumber - Langley, Canada - Westech Plumbing and Heating

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues using pressure gauges or other equipment
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their proper functioning

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a plumber or completion of an apprenticeship program
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to plumbing systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
• Proficiency in basic math for measuring and calculating pipe lengths and angles
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
• Familiarity with carpentry techniques for cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools specific to the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus
• Valid driver's license for commercial driving purposes

$29.00-$35.00 per hour
