About the role
We're looking for a Commercial Property Claims Representative II to join our growing team
As a CommercialProperty Claims Representative II
, you will be responsible for handling moderately complex Personal and Commercial Property claims through utilizing your excellent communication skills, and meeting service standards you'll provide direction for settling claims and investigating losses.
What you'll do here:
- Investigate personal and commercial property claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with, customers, appraisers, independent adjusters and any other related parties
- Collect reports and statements to determine quantum and coverage
- Develop an action plan for conducting investigations
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and adjusters to settle claims
- Attends court proceedings, hearings or alternative dispute resolutions, as required, to provide information on claims
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, as well as appraisal or investigation techniques and services
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness
What you bring to the table:
- University degree or college diploma preferred and/or equivalent business experience
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation completed or in progress is preferred
- Minimum 2 to 5 years personal, commercial property and exposure to business interruption claims
- Selfmotivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates strong problem solving, analytical and priority management skill
