Cadman Power Equipment is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team in the position of
Assembler, on the
day shift, at our main facility in Courtland.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing all steps required to assemble quality products accurately and in a timely manner, following specific methods.
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Position, assemble and install components and accessories of various size using a variety of hand and power tools as well as lifting aids (overhead hoists)
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
- Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations
- Identify and report all defects as appropriate
- Clean and perform preparation of worksite
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines
- Other duties as assigned
- Secondary school diploma, or equivalent
- 12 years mechanical experience, preferably within the agricultural or automotive sector
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand tools and simple power tools
- Forklift and overhead crane certification, or the ability to achieve certification
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
- Reliable transportation required
- Willingness to work overtime or adjusted hours as required
- Exposure to potentially hazardous environments (examples include dust, chemicals, noise) requiring protective equipment
- Exposure to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting
- Exposure to different weather conditions, from time to time
- Extremely fast paced work environment
