About the Office of Strategy and Results (OSR)


The PHC OSR supports key strategic and operational initiatives that are essential to the successful achievement of PHC's Mission: Forward Strategic Plan.

The OSR helps to scope out and develop solutions for complex problems, to facilitate internal planning processes and implementation plans, and to develop and write strategic reports and/or business cases summarizing options, recommendations and results.

We monitor organization-wide strategic projects and initiatives and serve as the primary point of entry for internal stakeholders to scope and formulate their transformative ideas: providing frameworks, templates, coaching and connecting stakeholders with the appropriate internal resources to advance their initiatives.


Qualifications / Skills and Education:

About you:

You bring extensive experience managing large-scale projects in a complex health care environment. You are highly organized, an excellent communicator, and skilled in building partnerships both internally and externally.

You bring some or all of the following:

  • Baccalaureate degree in a related field plus 5 to 7 years recent, related experience that includes managing medium to large projects, preferably directly with health care organizations
  • Ability to uphold the priorities and people forward culture of PHC in external stakeholder meetings
  • Ability to troubleshoot and facilitate quick decision making changes with a team
  • Ability to identify risks early, and ensure strategies developed to support risk management
  • Understanding of change management or experience working on projects with a change lens

Duties and Responsibilities:

About the role:

In this role, you will support the work toward de-consolidation of a broad range of health services across the four health authorities in the Lower Mainland


This includes:

  • Documenting the project scope, timeline and approach with the Project Lead and confirming approval by Executive Sponsor
  • Developing project documentation and reporting tools and templates
  • Leading/managing project documentation and reporting, including reporting to the Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health
  • Leading the development and ongoing use of the project work plan documentation and tools, including documentation and tracking of project actions, decisions, risks and issues
  • Developing other project documents, such as Briefing Notes, as required
  • Ensuring that the required work and engagement of stakeholders is done and tracked on a regular basis throughout the project
  • Identifying, highlighting and facilitating issues management, barriers and risks that impact the project
