The Opportunity:

The
Clinical Practice Lead (LPN) role will be serving our Home Office location in Edmonton, Alberta.

Under the leadership of the Registered Nurse Consultant (RNC), the Clinical Practice Lead drives the clinical education and continuous improvement of programs such as, but not limited to Skin Care and Wound Management, Falls Prevention, Continence Management, Hydration and Nutrition, Resident Engagement, and overall quality of care through an Eden focus.

The Clinical Practice Lead is responsible for executing clinical strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company.


Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:

  • Leads and Participates in clinical education and continuous improvement of care programs and supports the ongoing professional development of clinical Employee Care Partners (ECPS).
  • Mentors and educates nursing care partners on Wellness Strategies, core programs, implementing resident care plans, transcribing, and inputting medication orders, incident reporting and charting best practices.
  • Oversees the medication process and fosters safe medication practice within the nursing team, assisting in medication audits and education.
  • Monitors and coaches ECPs on the completion of resident assessments within established timelines.
  • Trains clinical ECPs and Clinical leaders on best practice movein assessments with an Eden focus.
  • Trains and mentors, the use of electronic health records and other technologybased solutions within the communities.
  • Gathers feedback and reports on resident satisfaction, routine audits, and continuous quality improvements.
  • Maintains a positive image of the organization through ongoing communication with external contacts including community partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensures effective collaboration and communication between operation service areas by identifying gaps and improving processes.
  • Reviews different clinical activities and services to ensure that the means used to provide them and how they are provided, are consistent.
  • Helps to achieve and maintain a desired level of quality within the organization.
  • Develops, implements, and ensures compliance of Wellness Strategies and documents applicable to health services.
  • Maintains confidentiality including but not limited to accountability of all care partners. Breach of confidentiality is serious and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational plans/policies/procedures/education which support the Vision, Mission, Culture and EDEN Service delivery model
  • Fostering the innovation and integration of highquality residentfocused services by establishing and maintaining strong work relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders
  • Facilitate training in leadership roles on clinical process and practices which includes orientation of Wellness Leadership teams and Operations

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Graduate of a recognized LPN program required
  • Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CLPNA)
  • Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • At least 5 years' experience in healthcare, preferably in continuing care
  • Presentation skills including use of common tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Yardi experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of services, assessments, care planning, and applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Strong communication ability, both verbally and in writing. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Must be prepared to drive/travel long (locally, regionally & provincially) distances, be comfortable with air travel and being away from home for several days at a time. Travel is required to implement initiatives and attend meetings. Approx. 2550% travel.
  • Must have a clear criminal and vulnerable sector check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license & reliable vehicle to perform this role.
