    Job Description

    We currently have a career opportunity for a Base Manager in Radisson, Qc.

    Reporting directly to the Regional Eastern Director of Operations, the Base Manager is immersed in an exciting career opportunity that includes both base managerial and hands-on responsibilities. The selected candidate can be either a helicopter pilot or an aircraft maintenance engineer.

    Requirements

  • Must operate as pilot-in-command on a regular basis or upon ad hoc request to maintain our services (if the selected candidate is a pilot)
  • Oversees aircraft, crew, equipment, and security operations for the base.
  • Participates in programs and various management initiatives relating to safety, in conjunction with the management team, and submits recommendations.
  • Coordinate base schedules in conjunction with the Regional Operations Manager, then assign tasks and responsibilities of staff under his responsibility.
  • Supports and assists his team during flight planning and regarding local operating procedures.
  • Responds to specific customer needs.
  • Any other related task
  • Qualifications

  • Great communication skills (English and French). Fluency in French is required;
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously;
  • Canadian Pilot Licence - Helicopter (CPL-H) is an asset ;
  • Minimum of flight hours* on a helicopter is an asset ;
  • A valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME licence for a minimum of 5 years is an asset ;
  • A valid B Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) on the ASB2 and/or ASB3 for a minimum of 3 years is an asset ;
  • 5 years of experience in the helicopter industry in Canada will be considered a great asset;
  • Desire to develop skills in management, leadership, coaching, interpersonal relations and problem solving;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing is an asset .
