REGIONAL MANAGER, TERMINAL MAINTENANCE
Littler River / Comox


Playing a key role in the execution of employee engagement, capability, and accountability, you lead the safe, timely and efficient maintenance of marine structures and land based terminal infrastructure to ensure safety and operational reliability.

You are an innovative leader, supervising, mentoring and managing qualified trades people and support staff in a unionized environment in order to carry out the maintenance program.

When necessary, you acquire services beyond the capability of the Maintenance Department by following procurement processes, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts within a set budget.

You maintain consistently high standards of safety, ensuring adherence to relevant safety practices and policies at all times.

You implement Corporate Safety and Risk Assessment processes and initiatives; conduct incident reviews; and ensure staff familiarization of policies and procedures while ensuring a high level of environmental standards.

You posses strong interpersonal, technical, organizational, project and time management skills.

You have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and work with computer software (CMMS unspecified but Maximo preferred, MS Office Excel, MS Word and Outlook).

You posses a four-year undergraduate degree in an Engineering related field or successful completion of a two-year community college diploma, technical institute certification, or equivalent (e.g. trades certification). Registration with EGBC and a Project Management or Maintenance Management Professional Certificate considered an asset.
